Sun Meadow Resort 208.686.8686. ![]() Welcome the spectacular Acrobats of Hebei China, Jan 24th at the The Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort event center. Their exciting production draws on Chinese folklore and traditions with presentations such as the Lion Dance, hat juggling, chair balance, Chinese poles, hoop diving and Chinese yo-yo. Tickets can be reserved through Ticketswest. Doors open 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. St. Maries Ink invites aspiring writers to come to the St. Maries Library on the first and third Friday of each month between noon and 1:30 to write together, share their work and discuss the craft. You may bring an original short story or poem to read to the group. A metaphysical study group will convene in St. Maries, Idaho to explore practical cosmic principles as understood by Edgar Cayce. Curiosity seekers who desire spiritual growth are welcome. As an example, here is some Cayce-esque thinking applied to economic crisis. The first meeting is Jan 6 at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Community Church at 1100 College Ave. For information call Frank Bogardus 568-1655. The talented one-man band PJ Destiny plays at the Coeur d'Alene Casino on Thursdays. Karaoke with Rich Love is on Wednesdays.
Rick and Jackie bring Karaoke to the Korner Klub in St. Maries, Idaho every Saturday at 9 p.m. The acoustic jam at One Shot Charlie's has been changed from Friday to Saturday nights. Succumb to Harrison's mysterious music energy and fight cabin fever by bringing your guitar, harp, mandolin, fiddle, flute, vocal chords, etc. down for the Cabin Fever Bustin' Jam. This is a laid back gathering for anyone who can play well enough (or quietly enough) to not scare away whatever precious customers venture out of the woodwork in the dead of winter. It's a safe and friendly atmosphere to try out that new song you composed or recall old favorites. Visual aids in the form of lyrics and chords are allowed and encouraged since participants tend to be plagued with some level of CRS. Call One Shots with questions at 689-9968.
It doesn't hurt to call and confirm showtimes, restaurant hours, etc. before heading to the south end of the lake. To publicize your event, act or artistic presentation send publicity materials to promo@southlakecda.com. |
